Billings and Commission Calculations

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

Billings are the total invoiced company income from vacancy placements. Consultant Commissions payments are based on placement Billings. Billings are a measure of company and consultant performance.

Permanent and contract Billings are calculated differently:

Permanent Billings is the total vacancy related client invoiced amount (including credit note invoices but exclusive of tax)
Contract Billings are calculated as the difference between the total timesheet related client invoiced amount (including credit note invoices but exclusive of tax) and what the contractor is paid (contractor Services plus Adjustments).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Billings are the total invoiced company income from vacancy placements and are not based directly on the Vacancy Fee (permanent placements) or the Timesheet Client Services.

Each vacancy is assigned one or more consultants (see Page 2 of the Vacancies form) who are allotted a percentage (Bills percentage) of the Billings.

The consultant's Commission is calculated by multiplying the consultant's portion of the Billings by the consultant's Commission Rate. If necessary the administrator can manually adjust the calculated commissions.

The Supervisor can view and edit consultant permanent and contract commission rates using the Tools->Setup->Consultant Commission Rates menu command.

Invoicing and commission calculations for permanent placements done from Page 2 of the Vacancies form; contract invoicing and commission calculations are done from the Timesheet form on a timesheet by timesheet basis.
