There are two levels of protection, Administrator and Supervisor, each has its own password.

Passwords are not set by default when the PRS is first installed and you will not be prompted for password, if you want password protection you need to set the passwords.
Once you've logged on with a correct password the privileges remain active until you either close the PRS or execute the Logout command on the PRS File menu.
You can logon as Administrator or Supervisor using the Logon commands in the PRS File menu.
The Supervisor also has Administrator rights so once you've logged on as Supervisor you won't be prompted for the Administrator password.
Administrator and Supervisor logon's are not user logon's, they are a separate mechanism for conferring special privileges on the current user.
Administrator privileges can be customized from the Security page of the PRS Options dialog.
